Upholstery - Footstool

Join our one day workshop to upholster a footstool. Take home a fully upholstered and trimmed item of furniture! Learn how to measure, cut and tension fabric and how to use the tools of the trade. Our experienced tutor Mary Gibson from Diss School of Upholstery will guide you through all processes of basic modern upholstery. The footstool has been specially designed for makeplace and measures approximately 46cm wide x 30cm deep x 25cm high. The base and legs have been handcrafted from European Beech wood. Please note that you will be required to purchase separately the footstool and material pack from Anglian Furnishing Fabrics. You will visit Anglian Furnishing Fabrics on the day (as part of your course) to choose from a selection of fabrics and trims and to purchase your ‘pack’. Your pack will contain all the necessary components for your class including webbing, foam, hessian, wadding and your choice of fabric and trim. The pack cost is £69 payable on the day. Therefore, the total cost of your day course is £154. Maximum class size 5 students. Further details and workshop agenda will be sent after booking.
